The main factors of influence on Canadian English formation

Abstract

In this article the factors influencing the formation of the Canadian version of the English language were singled out, namely linguistic influence in particular British English, French and indigenous languages on the territory of Canada; immigration influence in early times, post-war and present, as well as other historical events that ensured the linguistic identity and formation of Canadian English.
